We numerically investigate the dynamical behavior of the fractional-order Chua’s system. By utilizing the multistep generalized di?erential transform method MSGDTM, we ?nd that the fractional-order Chua’s system with “e?ective dimension” less than three can exhibit chaos as wellasothernonlinear behavior.Numerical resultsarepresented graphically andrevealthatthe multistepgeneralizeddi?erentialtransformmethodisane?ectiveandconvenientmethodtosolve similarnonlinear problemsinfractional calculus. 1.Introduction Thecharacterizationofrealdynamicalsystemsusingfractional-orderdynamicalmodelshas provedtobesuperiortothetraditionalcalculus1.Manygeneralizedfundamentalswere extractedandwerereducedtotheirknownresponseswhenthefractionalordersconverge tointegervalues.Fractionalderivativesprovideanexcellentinstrumenttodescribememory andhereditarypropertiesofvariousmaterialsandprocesses.Fractionaldi?erentiationand integration operators are used to model problems in astrophysics 2–5, chemical physics, signalprocessing,systemsidenti?cation,controlandrobotics6,7,andmanyotherareas 8–15.
