Numerous bacterial plasminogen receptors have been identi?ed, and the mechanisms by which they interact with plasminogenarediverse.Hereweprovideanoverviewofbacterialplasminogenreceptorsanddiscussthediverserolebacterial plasminogenacquisitionplaysintherelationshipbetweenbacteriaandthehost. 1.Introduction becomethefocusofalargebodyofresearch.Itisnowclear that recruitment of plasminogen to bacterial cell surfaces is a feature common to both pathogenic and commensal bacteria.Thispaperprovidesanoverviewofknownbacterial plasminogenreceptorsandexaminesthediverserolesthey playinthehost-bacteriainteraction.
