Grossly,tumourpresentedasawell-circumscribed,5.5-cmmasswithasolidandmicrocysticappearance.Histologicalexamination wastypicalofbiliaryadeno?broma,showingaproliferationofvariable-sizedtubulocysticstructuresembeddedinamoderately cellular?brousstroma.Immunohistochemistry,revealingimmunoreactivityoftheepithelialcomponenttocytokeratins7and 19,wasconsistentwithabileductorigin.Notably,thestromalcellshadamyo?broblasticpro?le,showingadi?useandstrong expressionofvimentinandα-smoothmuscleactin.Di?erentialdiagnosiswithVonMeyenburgcomplex,biliaryadenoma,biliary cistadenoma,congenitalbiliarycystsy,andhepaticbenigncysticmesotheliomaisprovided.Theoccasionallyreportedexpressionof p53inbiliaryadeno?bromahassuggestedthatthistumourcouldrepresentapremalignantlesion.Theabsenceofbothcytological atypiaandp53immunoreactivityinourcasecon?rmsthatBAFi
