Thebiorthogonality condition forStokes ?owinannular trenches bounded by horizontal parallel planes and concentric vertical cylinders is derived. This condition, is needed to compute the coe?cients of the eigenfunction expansion solution of the corre- sponding Stokes ?ow problem. Keywords and phrases. Recently, theeigenfunction expansion method hasbeenusedex- tensivelyforsolvingproblemsofStokes?ow;(cf.[1,2,7,8]).Mostrecently,biorthog- onalityconditionswereusedbyKhuritosolveStokes?owinasectorialcavity[3]and by Khuri and Wang for solving Stokes ?ow around a bend [6]. The method leads to the development of a set of eigenfunctions, adjoint eigenfunctions, biorthogonality conditions andanalgorithm forthecomputation oftheeigenfunction expansions. Inthepresentpaper,wederivethebiorthogonalityconditionforStokes?owinannu- lartrenches bounded byhorizontal parallel planes andconcentric vertical cylinders.
