BCPareconsideredthemostpromisingbiomaterialsforbonereconstruction.Thisstudyaimsatanalyzingtheoutcomesofpatients whoreceivedBCPasbonesubstitutesinorthopaedicsurgeries.Sixty-sixpatientswerecategorizedaccordingtotheetiologyand morphologyofthebonedefectsandreceivedscoresafterclinicalandradiographicevaluations.The?nalresultscorrespondedto thecombinationofbothparametersandvariedfrom5(excellentresult)to2orlower(poorresult).Mostofthepatientswho presentedcavitarydefectsorbonelossesduetoprosthesisplacementorrevision,osteotomies,orarthrodesisshowedgoodresults, andsomeofthemexcellentresults.However,patientswithsegmentaldefectsequalorlargerthan3cminlengthwereclassi?edas moderateresults.ThisstudyestablishedclinicalparameterswheretheBCPalonecansuccessfullysupporttheosteogenicprocess andwheretheassociationwithothertissueengineeringstrategiesmaybeconsidered. 1.Background orbiod
