Thisstudydevelopsafacilemethodtofabricateanovelcholinebiosensorbasedonmultiwalledcarbonnanotubes(MWCNTs) andgoldnanoparticles(AuNPs).Chitosan,anaturalbiocompatiblepolymer,wasusedtosolubilizeMWCNTsforconstructing theaqueousChit-MWCNTssolution.ThenChit-MWCNTswere?rstdroppedonthesurfaceofacleanedplatinumelectrode. Finally,athiolatedsilicasolcontainingAuNPsandcholineoxidase(ChOx)wasimmobilizedonthesurfaceoftheChit-MWCNTs- modi?edelectrode.TheMWCNTs/AuNPs/Ptelectrodeshowedexcellentelectrocatalyticactivityforcholine.Theresultingcholine biosensorshowedhighsensitivityofcholine(3.56μA/mM),andwidelinearrangefrom0.05to0.8mMwiththedetectionlimitof 15μM.Inaddition,goodreproducibilityandstabilitywereobtained. 1.Introduction a novel functionalisation method for the deposition of ChOx and anti-interference layers on the microelectrodes, providingtheevidenceofadequatebiosensorperformances for the detection of choline in the physiologically relevant concentrationranges[5].
