The current study examines associations between polymorphisms within promoter regions of NFKB1 encoding NF-kB1 and NFKBIA encoding IkappaBalpha(IkBa)withboththesusceptibilitytodevelopOSCCandtheclinicopathologicalcharacteristicsofthetumors. Methodology/PrincipalFindings:GeneticpolymorphismsofNFKB1andNFKBIAwereanalyzedbyareal-timepolymerase chainreaction(real-timePCR)for 462patientswithoral cancerand520non-cancercontrols. Wefoundthat NFKB1 294 ATGG1/ATGG2, 294 ATGG2/ATGG2, and the combination of 294 ATGG1/ATGG2 and ATGG2/ATGG2 genotypes NFKBIA 2826 T (CT+TT) and 2881 G (AG+GG) allelic carriages, were more prevalent in OSCC patients than in non-cancer participants.Moreover,wefoundthatNFKB1orNFKBIAgenepolymorphismsseemt
