Higher Vocational Education on China#39;s normative structure optimization Thoughts
Abstract: The development of higher vocational education in China face orientation of personnel structure and status of the contradiction between competition orientation tells us that the development of higher vocational education in China must take account of economic construction, personnel needs and needs of traditional educational values, respect for lifelong vocational education the inevitable trend of development, and gradually build throughout the complete structural system of higher education.

Since reform and opening, in particular, to expand higher education enrollment in 1999, China’s higher vocational education (hereinafter referred to as “vocational education”), the scale has been sustained and rapid growth. However, the education, growth is not equivalent to the development of education, or should not be merely the number of indicators used to illustrate the development of education. The development of education should reflect a qualitative change in the characteristics and content, reflecting the educational patterns of evolution from lower to higher. The development of education is a conscious process, is the recognition that the various requirements of education reflect the subjective will, but also people under the person’s physical and mental development of the educational reform undertaken by the laws and practices, as well as such practices and changes carried out by judgments. Therefore, the development of education should reflect the educational thinking and educational change in concept, with a value judgment features.
