Highly skilled vocational and technical colleges for training qualified personnel ‘pushpin’ mode Abstract: The ‘pushpin-style’ training model is a competency-based, to post as the goal, an employment-oriented training model of the high-skilled personnel, with distinctive features, focusing on the students the basic knowledge and professional skills development. Implementation of the ‘pushpin-style’ training model should correctly handle the relationship between the other teaching modes, the correct build ‘nail care’ and ‘nail-pin’, identify the entry points, continuously improve, innovation and development. High-skilled talent sells reasons, first, to increase the social demand, and second, high-tech enterprises to accelerate investment in the area. Needless to say, China’s vocational education training professional personnel, especially high-skilled personnel, both quantity and quality are related to society (enterprise) falls far short of demand. In terms of quality, vocational skills, professionalism and deep enough, professional ability to work is not strong, resulting in the current employment of graduates from vocational and technical colleges wishes and needs of enterprises employing contradiction. To resolve this contradiction, we must emancipate our minds, reform and innovation, and proceed from national conditions, in the premise of focusing on quality, speed up ‘competency-based, to post as the goal, career-oriented’ in the pace of high-skilled personnel training. ‘Pushpin-style’ training mode Vocational and technical colleges to train high-skilled personnel need to focus on broad-based, fine professional manner in a solid culture and skills-based, professional competence of students, so that it has a strong employability and entrepreneurship.
