PBL and teaching reform in higher education [Abstract]: In this paper, the concept, characteristics, and so an overview of PBL, proposed to apply PBL-based curriculum of China’s higher education reform, and from the problem, basic, role, strategy and difficulties in several aspects of the analysis and elaboration. Keywords: PBL; colleges and universities; teaching reform; Application 1, PBL Overview PBL that is problem-based learning (Problem-Based Learning), referred to as PBL, also known as problem-based learning. From the Southern Illinois University College of Medicine, Department of Education’s Web site on the PBL perspective, PBL is based on real-world problems in order to student-centered educational methods [1]. It stressed that the study is set to complex, meaningful questions, scenarios, through the cooperation of learners to solve the real problem behind the problem in order to learn implicit in the scientific knowledge, the formation of problem-solving skills and self-learning capabilities [2 ]. Now, more institutions adopt this method of instruction or teaching reforms, including Education, Business School, Engineering, and a number of high school.
