On the cultural-oriented English teaching model
The Chinese cultural environment in China to learn English. This refers both to the survival of the external environment, cultural environment, but also refers to an individual’s psychological environment, that is constrained by the Chinese culture, behavior, cognitive patterns and so on. Combined effect of these two environments, decided the Chinese people to learn English inherent characteristics. In essence, Professor of Chinese, English, is to allow the two cultures colliding with one another and integration; is the established Chinese language and culture in the environment of English language and culture of immigration, absorption and digestion, thereby generating two rows in the pairs of learners who the process of cultural competence. This paper discusses the problems associated with the English language teaching and to propose a teaching point of view that the culture-oriented English language teaching.
