Watson plays Noah’s adopted (收养的) daughter, Ila, whom he had saved from death and raised as one of his own. The movie has been a box office success in theaters around the world.Since the Potter series, Watson has worked hard to shake her wholesome (品学兼优的), childlike image. Sometimes, she has a hard time convincing directors that she can play more adult roles.“I was being offered roles that I didn’t feel were very complicated,” she told Elle magazine. “[I was being asked to play] women that were a bit one-dimensional (单维度的). Real women never are.”So, rather than accept mediocre (普通的) work, she only accepts projects that challenge her public persona (形象).In Noah, Watson found her first in which she becomes a woman on screen.
