Facing the corruption , incompetence , and serious internal and external problems of 出 Beijing governme时， the studen饵， as radical social groups , struggledωparticipate in the efforts of salvation and political clarification. On the diplomatic front , they were holding the anti - imperialist banner ωrose and to wake up 出e people , urging the formation of people diplomacy pattern. Politically ，也ey developed from advocating improvement to insisting on overthrowing the warlord government. On campus , they were unwilling to do educational administrators , but actively involved in school supervision and began to implement auton- omy. The rising of student movement itself was a manifestation of absence of state au由ority ， and 出e community on fl陀甲ent student movement also went 由rough process from sympathy and suppo此 to a multiple attitude of opposition , exploitation and support at 由e same time.
