Expression of atRA on arterial endothelial injury smooth muscle cells CDKs [Abstract] Objective To explore the all-trans retinoic acid (atRA impaired expression of rat aortic endothelial smooth muscle cells of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), 77 rats were randomly divided into sham group, injury group, atRA were 2,7,14 d after taking experimental arterial segments, determination of intimal and medial smooth muscle cells of CDK2, CDK4 expression level results injury group of CDK2 and CDK4 in both 2 d after expression in the membrane, followed by expression diminished, and 7 d after injury, expressed in the intima 14 d endometrial expression was strongly positive, and visible to the luminal surface aggregation, the atRA CDK2 in positive expression index compared with the injury group was significantly decreased (t = 4.97 to 17.86 P lt;0.01), positive expression of CDK4 in index also significantly decreased (t = 5.64 ~ 20.05, P lt;0.01). Conclusion atRA may be through inhibition of CDK2, CDK4 overexpression and inhibition of cell cycle progression, thereby inhibiting the intimal hyperplasia. MethodsThe rats were randomly divided into sham operated group, injury group, and atRA group. The aortic tissues were taken on day 2, 7, and 14, respectively. Immunohistochemistry for CDK2 and CDK4 was performed at different times. Results Immunohistochemical analysis revealed expression of both CDK2 and CDK4 within the media of injured thoracic arteries at day 2. At day 7, expression of CDK2 and CDK4 declined to basal levels in the media but both were detected within the intimal lesion. By day 14, when a prominent intimal lesion formed, CDK2 and CDK4 were largely confined to the luminal surface. Less CDK2
