In this paper, the two aspects of the cultural connotation and connotation in Chinese traditional medicine (TCM) are discussed. First, Chinese traditional philosophy and art, culture, TCM, etc. are often intertwined. Such as traditional arts and health preserving are both pursue Taoist’ s theory of ‘void and quietness’, so people has reached a high state of health preserving in the pursuit of traditional arts and aesthetics . Second, traditional Chinese music, painting, poetry and TCM are subject to the infl uence of traditional Chinese philosophy. They have the same theoretical basis of the unity of form and spirit, yin yang fi ve element theories, forming a distinctive TCM health preserving Chinese leisure and living.
