According to the principle and characteristics of the applied current cathodic protection, we propose that underground pipelines and oil well casings in certain area can be considered as a set of cathodic protection, and the technology of the cathodic protection of applied current can be implemented. This technology is successful in the synchronous implementation of the cathodic protection for oil well casing and single well pipeline, which extends two to three times of the service life of the pipeline, reduces the number of well repair or well stop, brings remarkable economic benefit and has broad application prospects.
