Corresponding author : WA NG Jia-fu, E-mail: wangjf @ ral. neu. edu. cn) Abstract: U nder 1 000 e and strain rate range of 0. 01~ 10 s- 1, the hot compression test of super duplex stainless steels S32750 was carried out w ith MM S-200 therma-l mechanical simulator. EBSD ( electron backscattering diffraction ) technique w as applied to analyze grain orientation and grain boundary characters. The results show ed that the 31114texture appears in ferrite under lower strain rate, and the additional 30014texture appears under higher strain rate. T he ferrite grains become finer and the number of small angle grain boundaries increases w ith the increasing of strain rate. The 31104 texture appears in the deformed austenite under the strain - 1 rate of 10 s . T he austenite grain size and the number of small angle grain boundaries increase w ith the increasing of strain rate. A lot of 2 3 tw in boundaries appear in the deformed austenite under lower strain rate. Key words: super duplex stainless steel; electron backscattering diffraction; orientation;
