What day is it today? What’s the date today? II.Presentation 1a.Write the other dates for this week on the calendar. 1b.First ask students what day it is today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow/weekday .What day it was yesterday.Teach the new words:tomorrow,the day after tomorrow.Then write them on the calandar. Then ask ss what’s today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow,what was yesterday and lead them to say It’s Monday,the 25th/Tuesday,the26th/Thursday,the26th.It was Sunday,the24th. III.Practice First have students work in pairs.Make their own dialogues pointing to different dates at random on the calendar on the blackboard. Then get them to act out it. IV.Listening 2a.Listen and circle First let the students look at the picture and ask students to tell what the boy is doing. Next play the recording for twice. Then check the answers. 2b.Listen and match. First let students pay attention to the chart. Next listen to the recording again.Write the letter a,b,or c in front of each activity. Then check the answers. V.Pairwork 2c. Work with a parter. One student is Andy.He asks Vince to play tennis.The other student is Vince. He says no and gives reasons. Ask students to practice.
