Introduction of Sentences In grammar, tense is a category that locates a situation in time, to indicate when the situation takes place, and tense structures are mentioned here to refer to the different verb forms in relative tenses. In English, any of the forms of a verb may be used to indicate the time of the action or state expressed by the varieties of a predicate verb, which is called verb tense. Generally speaking, there are four tense forms in English.
