提取有用信息 1.broad → anything could be used to buy eg: coins bill; barter (direct exchange) 2.narrow→anything must be accepted as payment eg: √ coins bill; × vegetable 整合笔记,最终开口 The professor in the lecture gives us two different kinds of definitions about money. Under the broad definition, money means anything that can be used to buy something else. For example, coins and bills. If we take a taxi, we can pay the driver with coins or bills, and then the driver can buy vegetable from a farmer by using them. But coins and bills are not the only form of money. We can also use one thing to exchange another one directly. For example, if a farmer take a taxi, s/he may use vegetable as the payment. So here we consider the vegetable as a form of money. So in that case, the fruit is the medium of exchange, not the money. So under the first definition dollar bills and coins are money but also…also other medium exchange like fruit in the case of the taxi driver. Uh the second definition, it’s the legal definition. The legal definition , just the coins and dollar bills are legal uh.. legal money.. In the definition. Comments Her pronunciation and intonation are very good. She use complex grammars and speak sometimes very quick but the ideas are eas
