Experimental Studyon Grinding-HardenedLayer and its Numerical Simulation of45 SteelAbstractWiththedevelopmentofsociety，themodernmanufacturingdevelopstowardtothe directionofefficientandenergy saving．Atthesametime，peoplepaymoreattentiontohowto improvetheproductionenvironmentanddecreasethelaborintensive. Therefor，itshouldadoptanewmanufacturingtechniquetoenhancetheprocessintegrationanddecreasetheworkload.The grinding-hardeningisanewtechnologythatutilizestheheatandmechanicalcompositeeffect inducedingrindingtoquenchthesurfaceofsteeldirectly.Itrealizestheintegrated manufacturingofgrindingandsurfacehardeningandhaswideapplicationprospectsinthefield ofgrindingmachineandimprovingsurfaceproperties ofmetalmaterial.Basedontheexperimentofgrinding-hardening，this paperstudies theinfluences ofgrindingconditionandtheworkpiece’ssizeonthegrinding-hardenedlayerof45steelandprovided referenceforthepracticalapplicationofgrinding-hardening.Themainworkandinnovationpointofthis paperareasfollows：Thispaperstudiestheinfluencesofgrindingconditionongrinding-hardenedlayerand thebestgrindingparametercombinationthatcanacquirethebesthardeningeffectbysinglefactorexperimentandorthogonalexperiment.Theresultsshowthat：grinding-hardenedlayer’sdepthincreasedwiththeraisingofdepthofcutandthegrindingtripsorthedecreasingoftable speed；theuniformityofgrinding-hardenedlayer’s depth improvedas the raisingofthegrinding tripsorthedecreasingoftablespeed；thehardeningeffectisbetterthanup-grindingwhilethe grindingmethodadoptdown-grinding．Intheprocess ofgrinding-hardeningmachine，depthof cutisthesignificantfactoraffectedthegrinding-hardenedlayer’sdepth；thesignificanceofgrindingconditions thataffectedtheuniformityofgrinding-hardenedlayer’s depthareverypoor.Basedonorthogonalexperiment，thispaperstudiestheinfluencesoftheworkpiece’s sizeongrinding-hardenedlayer. The results showthat：Ontheconditionofthis experiment，the workpiece’s sizehas noSubstantialinfluence onthegrinding-hardenedlayer，themicrostructure intheworkpiece’ssurfacez
