英语教学中的素质教育 　　【摘要】更新观念，提高认识。传统的教育观念基本上是以升学为中心，以分数为衡量教学质量的标尺。在这种观念支配下，学校教育片面突出智育，忽视了其他教育，不重视学生全面能力的培养和智力的开发，培养出来的学生重书本、轻实践，重分数、轻能力，无法适应现代化建设的多种需要，也没有能力参与现代社会的激烈竞争。我们要转变教育观念，端正教育思想，改变以升学为目标的教育方法和“统一规格”、学法单一的教育教学现状。 　　【关键词】更新教育观念 改革教法 贯彻素质教育 　　 　　The quality education in English teaching 　　Wang Zhisen 　　【Abstract】The quality education calls for renewing ideas and improving the cognition. The center of the traditional education idea is basically entering a higher school with the score as the rule of judging the teaching quality. Controlled by this kind of idea, the school education just gives prominence to the intellectual education unilaterally but has ignored other kinds of education and does not pay attention to the cultivation of students’ general ability and the development of their intelligence. As a result, the students cultivated under that kind of education, just pay high attention to the textbook but low attention to the practice, high attention to the score but low attention to the ability, so they can not adapt themselves for the multifold demand of construction of the modernization and also are incapable of participate in the cutthroat competition of the modern society. Therefore, we should change the education idea, should make our education idea proper, should change the education method with entering a higher school as the target and change the simple education situation with the “unitive mode”. 　　【Keywords】Renewing educationReforming teaching methodCarrying through quality education 　　 　　作为理论基础的教育方针，虽经许多时代的变迁，但仍保持不变即坚持人的全面发展，然而诸多的主客观因素造成了无数影响，使其在实施过程中出现了严重偏差，“全面发展”成了“畸形发展”；“统一目标”成了“应试教育”。在我们的英语教学中出现了“聋哑英语”，高分低能的怪胎。至此，一个严峻的教育改革任务摆在了我们教育者面前，如何提高学生的英语素质，这是摆在每一位英语教育工作者面前的一个重大课题，需要我们去研究、思考、解决。 　　1．英语教育中必须树立英语素质教育的思想。作为英语教育工作者应树立这样的观念：人人应该学英语，个个应把英语作为自己的第二母语来学，视英语为日常生活中不可缺少的重要部分。这就要求我们绝不能把英语教学单纯理解为少数人升学服务，去搞题海战术，甚至猜题、押题的应试教育，使学生肩负沉重负担，影响学生全面发展，更不能把英语教学单纯为培养几个竞赛尖子生服务，不适度搞各类竞赛辅导，节假日加班加点，不择手段向学生收取加班费、辅导费、资料费等，而应把英语教学的主要精力倾注于每个学生身上，不分尖子生、后进生，使每个学生都愿学、都能
