ABSTRACTOBJECTIVEToinvestigatetheexpressionofHPA、CK2βandHIF-1αgeneinnasopharyngealcarcinoma(NPC)tissues,andthecorrelationbetweentheirexpressionwiththeclinicalcharacteristicsofNPC.ToanalysetherelativityofHPA、CK2βandHIF-1αgeneinNPCtissues.ToinvestigatetheeffectofHPA、CK2βandHIF-1αgeneonprognosisofNPCpatients.METHODHPA,CK2βandHIF-1αweredetectedwithSuper-Visionimmunohistochemicalmethodusingantibodyin49NPCspecimensand15specimenswithCNT.StatisticalProductandServicesSolutions(SPSS)statisticalsoftware(version13.00)wasappliedfordataanalysis.RESULTSTheoverexpressionofHPAinNPCtissuesandCNTTissueswere49.0%and6.7%,andthedifferencewassignificant(P=0.003).TheexpressionofHPAweresignificantlyrelatedtotheTNMstageandwhetherrecurrence-metastasisgroupaftertreatment(P=0.046and0.001,separately),buttherewasnoobviouscorrelationwithitsexpressionandthesex,ageofNPCpatient(P0.05).TheoverexpressionofCK2βinNPCtissuesandCNTTissueswere44.9%and13.3%,andthedifferencewassignificant(P=0.027).TheexpressionofCK2βweresignificantlyrelatedtotheTNMstageandwhetherrecurrence-metastasisgroupaftertreatment(P=0.026and0.030,separately),buttherewasnoobviouscorrelationwithitsexpressionandthesex,ageofNPCpatient(P0.05).TheoverexpressionofHIF-1αinNPCtissuesandCNTTissueswere40.8%and6.7%,andthedifferencewassignificant(P=0.014).TheexpressionofHIF-1αweresignificantlyrelatedtotheageofpatient,TNMstageandwhetherrecurrence-metastasisgroupaftertreatment(P=0.002,0.027and0.005,separately),buttherewasnoobviouscorrelationwithitsexpressionandthesexofNPCpatient(P0.05).TheexpressionofHPA,CK2βandHIF-1αinNPCtissueswaspositivelycorrelatedwitheachother(P=0.012、0.006and0.000,separately).ThesurvivaltimeofpatientswasrelatedtotheTNMstageandwhetherrecurrence-metastasisgroupaftertreatment,thedifferenceweresignificant(P=0.020and0.000,separately).ThesurvivalratesinpatientswithoverexpressionofHPA,CK2βandHIF-1αweresignificantlylowerthanthoseinpatientswithlowexpression(P=0.001,0.019and0.011,separately).MultivariateCoxregressionanalysisshowedthatjustw
