indexwas1995.43and19.95timesofthatof48%ChlorpyrifosEC,whichwasusedasaregularpharmacyinthelocal.20%AcetamipridSP,70%ImidaclopridWDGand48%ChlorpyrifosECexhibitedbettercontrolefficacyinthefield.3daysafterspraying,thecorrectedefficacieswere60.27%,54.80%and40.83%,respectively.7daysafterspraying,thecorrectedefficacieswererespectively79.50%,70.71%and58.07%.30daysafterspraying,theseedlingprotectingeffectswere59.74%,50.65%and46.75%respectively.Inactualuse,20%AcetamipridSP,70%ImidaclopridWDGand48%ChlorpyrifosECshouldbeselectedtosprayat300g/hm2,150g/hm2and1500ml/hm2,respectively.ThethreeinsecticidesmustbeusedalternatelytopostponetheappearanceofinsecticideresistanceofR.salics.BiologicalcharacteristicsofH.hamatipennisH.hamatipennisisoneoftheimportantbushborersinthetropicsandsub-tropicalregions.Thehostrangeiswidespread.Bothlarvaandadultcandamage.Thereweresomecircularholesonthedamagedwickers.Andthewickersgotlighterandeasytobreakoff.Thelarvahad3agesandlookedlikegrub.Thelarvawouldhuddleintheshapeofaballafterbeingtouched.Theminordetailsofabdomenofpupawassmallerandnarrower.Anditcouldswayupanddownafterbeingtouched.Theadultlongevitywas45~62d.Theadultcouldwithstandhightemperatureanddrought.Theadultoftenshiftedtothenewhostwhennightfalls.H.hamatipennismighthave2generationsayearinthisarea,andmaturedlarvaoverwinteredintheinfestedwickers.TheoverwinteredlarvapupatesinlateAprilnextyear.Thepupalstageis10~14days.TheadultappearedmassivelyinthelastfifteendaysofMay.Thelongevityoftheoverwinteringgenerationcouldreachabout60d.ThisgenerationendedinthemiddleofJuly.TheeggoffirstgenerationemergedinlateJune,andthisstagewas7~10d.thefirstgenerationlarvaemergedEarlyinJuly.Thestageofthefirstgenerationlarvawaslonger,about55~60d.ThefirstgenerationlarvastartedpupaearlyinAugust.TheadultappearedmassivelyinthelastfifteendaysofAugust.ThisgenerationendedinlateSeptember.InthemiddleofSeptember,larvaofthesecondgenerationemerged.ThesecondgenerationPupaemergedearlyinOctober.TheadultappearedmassivelyinthemiddleofOctober.Thes
