AbstractWiththedevelopmentofmodernIndustrialRevolution,theproductivitylevelhasbeengreatlyenhancedandthelivingconditionsofthematerialhasbeenimprovedtoanunprecedentedlevelwiththehelpofsciencetechnology.Onthebasisoftheimprovementofmaterialconditionsofreality,therelationshipofsciencetechnologyprogresswithrationalityhasbeenincreasinglylinked.However,aseriesofevilresultsalsobyproducedbythedevelopmentofsciencetechnologywhichcausedunaccountablenegativeinfluence.Theproblemoftechnicalexpansionhastobejudgedwithamulti-dimentional、comprehensiveperspectiveintheframeworkofawholesocialsystemwhichcombinesofcultural、economical、politicaldimentions.TheauthorreviewsthehistoricalprocessoftheEnlightenmentReasondevelopmentandtheprocessofInstrumentalReasonexpansion,thenanalysesthecombinationpowerofvarioushistoricalfactorstoexplainthereproductionandtechnologicalexistencestyle.Finally,theauthorinvestigatesthepossibilityanddefectofHarbmas’CommunicativeActionwhichaimedtosolvetheproblemofexpansionoftheInstrumentalRationality.Thedissertationincludesfourparts:Thefirstpart,influencebymodernscience,thedevelopmentdirectionoftheEnlightenmentReasonmustbealteredinthemodernsociety.Toperfecttheanalysis,theauthormakesareviewofrelativeresearchonthesesubjectswhichincludesforeignanddomesticones.Thesecondpart.ToreviewthedevelopmentoftheEnlightenmentReason,theauthortracesthebeginningandprogressprocess,alsoincludingthealienationoftheInstrumentalReasoninthehistoricalprocess.InthelonglastingMedievalAges,theEnlightenmentReasondroveawaythe“God”andtookplaceofitasakingof“God”,asaresult,theEnlightenmentReasonhasgonetoofartomatchitsresponsibilityandbecameanewmyth.Ontheliberationofhumanbeing,humanshasbecametheAppendageofthesystemtheycreatedbythemselves,therefore,thesystembecamethemasterofhumans.Asaresult,technologyembracedbecameanindependentpowerinthedisembedingprocess.Inthethirdpart,forenlightenment,weshouldntapprehendenlightenmentasanexotericadoctrineorapermanentcarrierofknowledgepiledup,butanattitude,symbolofenlighten
