AbstractInrecentyears,semiconductorphotocatalystusedinthefieldofenergyandenvironmentisdevelopingrapidly.AmountofpapershavereportedonWO3semiconductormaterials.TheWO3semiconductoritself,however,hassomedefectssuchasitsbandgap(Eg)isrelativelywideandthetransferringspeedofphotogeneratedchargesofWO3isslow,etc.whichlimittheactualapplicationofWO3.InordertoalleviatethedefectsofWO3,itisnecessarytomodifyWO3.Basedontheabovethoughts,FTO/WO3/Ni(OH)2,FTO/WO3/BiVO4andmulti-holeFTO/WO3thinfilmswerepreparedtomodifyWO3thinfilm.Wepreliminarystudiedthephotoelectrochemicalpropertiesandphotoelectro-cataliticactivityonofWO3thinfilm.Thiscontentandinnovationofthisthesisarelistedasfollowing:PreparationofFTO/WO3/Ni(OH)2photoelectrodesandtheirphoto-electrochemicalandphotoelectro-catalyticalproperties.Througasimplesol-geldippingmethod,afterhightemperatureannealingwepreparedFTO/WO3/Ni(OH)2photoelectrode.ThesampleswerecharacterizedbyXRD,SEM,DRSandRaman.ResultsshowedthatnotmodifyNi(OH)2photoelectrodealmosthasnophotoelectrocatalyticalpropertiesofglucose.AftermodifiedNi(OH)2,canenhancephotoelectrocatalyticalpropertiesoftungstentrioxidefilm.PreparationofFTO/WO3/BiVO4photoelectrodesandtheirphoto-electrochemicalandphotoelectrocatalyticalproperties.Througasimpledispensing-calcining-dispensing-calciningmethod,afterhightemperatureannealingwepreparedFTO/WO3/BiVO4photoelectrode.ThesampleswerecharacterizedbyXRD,SEM,DRSandRaman.ResultsshowedthatFTO/WO3/BiVO4compositefilmelectrodeshavebiggestcurrentinwatersplittinganditsOxidationpotentialismorenegative,soFTO/WO3/BiVO4compositefilmelectrodescaneffectivelyimprovetheefficiencyofwatersplittingwhichisrelatedwithbandstructureofBiVO4andWO3.PreparationofmultiholeFTO/WO3photoelectrodesandtheirphotoIV-electrochemicalandphotoelectrocatalyticalproperties.Througasimplehardtemplatemethod,afterhightemperatureannealingwepreparedmultiholeFTO/WO3photoelectrodes.ThesampleswerecharacterizedbyXRD,SEM,DRSandRaman.Resultsshowedthatwhenthepercentagecontentofcarbonwas10%,thethreetungste
