AbstractDielectrophoretic(DEP)microfluidicchipsaremicron-scaleplatformstotreatthesmallquantityofliquidsamples.Theplatformsshowgreatadvantages,suchasminiaturization,integration,intelligence,highefficiency,highresolution,andlowpollution.Sotheyhavegottentheextensiveapplicationsinmedicalresearch,environmentalmonitoring,biologicalandchemicalanalysis,etc.Withthecontinuousdevelopmentofthemicrofluidicchip,DEPmicrofluidicchipsgothroughvigorousdevelopmentindifferentfields.Itmakesuseofthedifferentelectricitynaturebetweenintermediarysuspensionandoperatingparticlesinnon-uniformelectricfieldtomanipulatetheparticlesflexibly.Inthispaper,DEPforceandforcetorqueoftheellipsoidparticleswerededuced,andthemechanismtorealizethestablecapturewasstudied.ThestructureofDEP-basedmicrofluidicchipwasdesigned.Thenthecaptureprocessoftheparticleswassimulated.CombinedwiththenumericalsimulationandMEMStechnology,themicrofluidicchipsandtheellipsoidparticlesweremade,atthesametime,theexperimentaboutthestabilityofcaptureoftheellipsoidparticleswasinvestigated.Firstly,themicrofluidictheoryandDEPphenomenoninmicrofluidicchipwerestudied.Basedonthepolarizationtheoryandthepolarizationfactoroftheellipsoidparticle,theDEPforceandtorqueimposedonparticlewerededuced.TheinfluenceofrelatedparametersofDEPforceandtorquewereanalyzed.Atthesametime,otherforcesimposedontheparticlewerecalculatedandcompared.ThenthecapturemechanismofparticleinDEPforceandStokesforceshasbeenstudied,andprovidedthetheorybasisforthesimulationandexperiment.Secondly,aimingatthepurposeoftheexperiment,thestructureofDEPmicrofluidicchipswasdesigned.Therelatedparametersofthematerialsandthephysicalfieldboundaryconditionswereset.Thedistributionsofvelocityofflowfield,voltage,theprocessofcaptureweresimulatedthroughpost-processingmoduleinCOMSOLMultiphysicssoftware.Thedifferentcapturesituationwasgottenunderdifferentcombinationbetweendifferentvoltagesandflowvelocities.Thirdly,combinetheadvantagesanddisadvantagesofdifferentmicrofabricationtechnology,theellipsoidparti
