Land for tourism usage can provide material source, activity place and environmental atmosphere for tourist activities. At present, the contradiction between exploitation and protection has become an outstanding conflict in the development of tourist places, the essential of which is to optimize the collocation and promote sustainable utilization of the resource of tourist places. Study on tourism land use is for the purpose of tourism sustainable development at tourist places. Up till now, seldom can we find studies on tourism land use based on the theory of resort life cycle. Thereafter, based on before literatures on tourism land use, this thesis, with the help of the theory of resort life cycle, tends to make specific analysis on Baizhangyan Scenic Area, Xidi ancient village and Mount. Jiuhua Scenic Area, and indicates features of land use at different stage of resort life cycle, hoping to be of some help for tourism land use planning. The thesis consists of 5 chapters: In Chapter 1, Study Contents of Land for Tourism Usage, the author expounds on the definition, features and using principles of land for tourism usage, and summarizes the study contents of land for tourism usage based on the review of researches on tourism land use both home and abroad.
