The e-commerce as outstanding part of information industry is faced with new opportunities for development and challenges. With the development of e-commerce industry, the private information of consumers has become one of the most valuable resources, but there is rarely few of its law protection that has been legislated in our country at the moment. Therefore, our country should strengthen the role of legislation. In this academic paper, starting from the basic theoretical questions of it, in other countries legislation and on the basis of analyzing the present situation in our country, and puts forward legislative Suggestions for Chinas national conditions. Except foreword and epilogue, this essay is divided into four parts. The first part primarily concentrates on the consumers personal private information in the electronic commerce, which includes the content of definition, characters, classification and the necessity of legal protection of consumer personal information in the electronic commerce.
