万方数据 万方数据 The Study of the Board of Directors’ Characteristics of Human Capital and Technology Capital Investment Abstract Translating technology into technology capital and taking participate in value creation is the important form of enterprise technology innovation. The financial management innovation is the important guarantee of realizing the technology innovation. Technology as the enterprises strategic capital investment, the evaluation and selection of this investment decision-making is closely related to the nature of human capital and the company decision-making strata. Explorating how the company’s toppest decision makers (board of directors ) human capital characteristics influence the technology capital investment, in order to reduce the negative impact of the decision-makers personal factors on the technological progress, and this research will be good for our country’s enterprises to enhance their core competitiveness. Using empirical analysis method, this paper based on a sample of Chinese listed companies, as the research to the technology capital to total capital ratio and RD to total capital ratio to be explained variable, with an average age, average level of education board, professional and technical background ratio as the explaining variable, such as to have more professional technical background of the members of the board of directors‘s human capital are associated with a higher technology capital investment level as the main research hypothesis. Obtainning relevant datas from the financial report of the listed companies, using multiple linear regression model, and analyzing the relationship between the characteristics of the board of directors’ human capital of the listed company and technology capital investment.
