Now, the automobile’s online malfunction diagnosis system can monitor and diagnose the systemic parameters of the Automotive electronic control system continuously. This kind of diagnostic system can record the intermittent problems and make the problem searching easier and timely. As OBD-II standard already describe the details of communication protocols used in automobile online malfunction diagnosis system, the standard also specify the diagnosis device outside automobile and standard during communication within inside electronic control unit. The standard also specify the failure code for the certain problems and the method to get these failure code. The OBD-II automobile online malfunction diagnosis system already become a standard for majority of automobile manuafactures. The OBD-II automobile online malfunction diagnosis system together with out car diagnosis device forms the automobile malfunction diagnosis system. It get connection with inside electronic control unit through OBD-II diagnosis connector. It use specific communication mode to communicate with in car electronic control unit, and get failure code and real time data. They use data analyze and process to get the failure analyze result and display the real time result on screen. the OBD-II malfunction diagnosis system can detect the technical status of automobile quickly, also identify the failure position and dig out its reason without disassembly the car. It greatly simplified the workload, improve the job efficiency, and ensure the quality of repair.
