摘 摘 要 随着语言文化交流的深入，长句在英语翻译中出现的频率越来越 高，这些句子结构复杂，一直是翻译中的一个难题。一般来说，英语 中长句多，修饰成分复杂，结构严密。英语长句是在简单句的基础上 通过使用较长的修饰语而变长，使用从旬而使句子变复杂，这些从句 又常常通过引导词或其它连接成分，使得整个句子错综复杂，犹如一 棵枝繁叶茂的参天大树，浑然一体。而汉语在表达复杂的思想时，多 借助于动词，虚词和词序，经常使用松散句和流水句，按照一定的时 间和逻辑顺序组句，使叙述有先有后，有主有次，逐层展开，因此结 构简单，无拖沓，错盘之感，犹如节节相连的竹子，短小而精悍。所 以在翻译英语长句时如果完全按照原句顺序直译，译出的句子就可能 会生硬、晦涩难懂，因此要切忌字对字地直译，而是应该在透彻理解 原文的基础上，根据句子的语法结构进行解构，然后再按照汉语的行 文习惯，即按时间顺序和逻辑顺序，将解构出来成分进行重组。本文 从英汉句法结构的差异着手，以解构与重组为策略，从而探讨英语长 句的翻译方法。 关键字：英语长句；翻译；解构与重组 H their their complex structures，have always been a difficulty in translation． Generally speaking，there are more long sentences in English whose modifiers are complex，and constructions are well-knit．English long sentences are formed by using long modifiers and complex clauses on the basis of simple sentences，and these clauses are often connected through guide words or other connection elements，making the whole sentence complicated，just like a flourishing and unified lofty tree．While in the expression of complex ideas，Chinese tends to use verbs，function words and word orders，loose sentences and run-on sentences according to certain time and logical sequences，to make the statements go in different time schedules with principal and secondary meanings and expand layer by layer,thus making the structure simple and without trailing or matted iust like successively connected bamboo，which is short and pithy． Therefore，if English long sentences are translated literally and completely in accordance with the original sentence sequence，the translation may be awkward and obscure，SO the word—for--word translation should be carefully avoided．Instead，we should deconstruct the whole sentence according to the grammatical structure based on a thorough understanding of the original text，and then reconstruct the deconstlllcted elements in accordance with Chinese writing habits， namely,in time sequence and logical sequence．With the comparison of III the the structural features of English and Chinese sentences，this article ex
