ABSTRACTInformation ABSTRACT Information literacy is becoming all indispen sable portion of the citizen‘S literacy in information society with the development of SOC ial informa tion day by day．IT edu cat ion has already tran sc e nded s implex training period ofcomput er technologY and developed into information lilera cy edu cation fiaing in with the demands for tale nt in informa tion society．By lack ofprofound comprehe IISion ofIT course’s fundament al philos ophy，there ar e the concept S of comput er edu cation of IT；there is no substantive transition on the goal，content and method．To change this kind ofactuality．the new—style teaching mode ofIT tourse must be explored．The mod el of Proje ct-ba s ed Learning(PBL)is regarded as all effective one．So，this the S is ha S sele cted and resear ched the mode of PB L，and has explored from two as pec ts of the ory and prac tice． The introduction of the the sis analyzes the current status of Chines e IT Edu cation in Element ary and Middle Sc hool，the main problem existing in the teaching of IT course，the characteristics of IT course in Elemen tary and Middle School and the nee es$ity to constructing new·style teac hing mode of IT course．To promote student．s information ltera cy，what we should try to explore is how to improve the tea ching qua lity of IT course．At present one of the main goals in the reform of IT tea ching is to change the traditional tea ching mode of regardin g tea cher as the center and cop．st ruct the new-type teaching teaching mode that can give play tO the teacher’S leadin g role and call fully reflect student tS cogni tive subject function as well．When bringing the mode of PB L into effect in IT teaching，the effect is promo te student’s informat ion literac Y and train student S’cooperat ive ability． Sec ond part introduces PBL’S connot ation，theore tical foundat ion， constitutional key element and operation flow．PBL is a new style Inquiry Learning model that regard S studying and r
