Through a thorough research of the goal, mission, conference management, membership management, program settings, competition management and market development of the Conference, the article comes up with the following conclusions: With the indispensable role of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in promoting the American collegiate competitive sports through its macro-control and regulation, together with all colleges’ participation and support on the micro level, the American collegiate competitive sports has witnessed outstanding achievements. However, as the liaison between the NCAA and the colleges, the National Collegiate Athletic Conference plays an even more important role in organizing and coordinating the collegiate competitive sports, and promoting the booming of the college sports. The National Collegiate Athletic Conference aims at providing development opportunities for the college athletes and welcoming more athletes to participate; meanwhile attaching great importance to the moral and mental development of the athletes. Through creating a well-balanced physical and academic environment, the Conference promotes the college athletes to develop in an all-round way, and is aiming to become the outstanding nation-wide collegiate athletic conference. The American National Collegiate Athletic Conference possesses a well organized management structure and each department fulfills its respective obligation.
