The t r eat ment of t r i ni t y i mpr ove t he i nt el l i gence l evel f or t he chi l dr en of NPH Abst r act With the improvement of medical standards and the importance of early prenatal diagn osis, the incidence rate of Hydrocephalus rises，and infants are Significantly more than Ad ults ,which has high mortality and disability.Hydrocephalus is a condition characterized by an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within cavities called ventriclesinsi de the brain.It can be classified into non-communicating (obstructive) and communicating.I t can be divided into high-pressure hydrocephalus and normal pressure hydrocephalus (NP H)in accordance with ventricular pressure. NPH is one of the most common types of hydroc ephalus ,which is a particular form of communicating hydrocephalus,hydrocephalus,inclu-d ing incomplete obstructive hydrocepha lus.Symptoms of NPH in children may inclu-de: hea d enlargement ,stunted growth,decline of intelligence, lack of learning ability and difficulty in walking,etc. Hydrocephalus is a long course, symptoms varied, high disability rates disea se. It can turn out to be a tremendous burden for patients and their families,and the decline of intelligence is one of the most serious symptoms to the life and living quality of patients. Both traditional Chinesemedicine (TCM) and western medicine are short of ideal thera peutic efficacy.Therefore, it is very significance for the research of treating Hydrocephalus. This paper holds that the key problems of its pathogenesis is “collateral obstruction by bloo d stasis, blood stasis clouding orifices of brain,wet and water arrested inside”. Under the pri nciple of“Dissolving blood-stasis、Tong meridian、Releasing orifices、Removing dropsy”, we established the therapeutic scheme of NPH in children: the Oral Administration of Naok angling capsules,the external application of Naokangling ointment on the head,acupuncture and massage.So it can play a role in absorbing clots,inducing diure
