Anionic surfactants which can be adsorbed in the surface or interface change the physical and chemical properties in the surface or interface. Anionic surfactants gather at the particle surface after entering the water, produce bubble or occurred emulsification, then block the oxygen exchange between the air and water and cause deterioration of water quality, which would do harm to aquatic life. Phenol is a highly toxic organic pollutant. Toxicity works through the chemical reaction between phenol and protein of cell puree that can form denatured protein and cause cell inactivation. Therefore, determination of anionic surfactant and phenol in environment is very important. At present, methods for detection of anionic surfactant and phenol are complicated, time consuming and not suitable for rapid determination. To solve these problems, this thesis provides new methods which are easy to be manipulated and possesses the advantage of simple, high sensitive, less sample for detection of anionic surfactant and phenol. It mainly includes: This study reported a coloredimetric method for rapid determination of anionic surfactant by using a modified methylene bule spectrophotometry with self-made multi-parameter water quality analyzer. In this paper, the amount of organic reagent and sample were reduced and operation is simple, fast. Dual-wavelength method was used to process data for excluding the background interference. This paper achieved rapid determination of water quality by using multi-parameter water quality analyzer. The linear ranges of determination was 0.05mg/L～1.4mg/L and the detection limit was 0.016mg/L. This method was applied to determine anionic surfactant, the relative standard deviation (RSD) was less than 5%, the recovery was 95~105%.
