Greet to each other.

Step Ⅱ Presentation
T: Today we have a new friend. Who’s she? Look. (PPT) She’s Ellen. Do you want to know more about her? Let’s see.
Ellen is ten.
Ellen gets a pen.
A red pen.
Then ask some questions to the Ss: How old is Ellen? What colour is the pen?
T: We see, all the words contain letter e. So today we’re going to learn the sound of letter e.
What color is the letter e?
T: Yes, it’s red.
And Ellen has a red bed, too. She loves her bed very much. She wrote a poem for it. Let’s watch together.
After that let Ss try to spell the word in this way.
e-d →ed, ed ed ed
r-ed→red, red red red
b-ed→bed, bed bed bed
A big red bed.
Then let Ss try to read other words that end with ed.
3)( Show the PPT of hen) T: What’s this?
T: Yes, Ellen has some hens, too. How many hens does she have? Let’s listen.
Then let Ss chant like this:
e-n →en, en en en
t-en →ten, ten ten ten
h-en →hen, hen hen hen
After that let Ss try to read other words that end with en.
4)T: Ellen has a red pen, r red bed and ten hens. Where are the hens from?
Then teach the word egg. And the egg has ten legs.
