Toyota Motor Corporation, JAPAN, +81-565-72-6428, s-yamamoto@mail.toyota.co.jp Abstract: Toyota plans to commercialize the vehicle-infrastructure cooperative systems with the 760MHz band in 2015, as one of the step to the realization of a society with no traffic accidents. In this paper, we focus on the “right-turn collision caution system” and describe the development a right-turn collision caution system as a support to encourage a driver to notice vehicles or pedestrians. Then we describe a 45-person field substantiative experiment. As a result, some effects for safety are confirmed and a near-miss caused by the collision caution system does not occurred in this field experiment.
