It’s very popular! Visitors have come to admire fantastic relics from the National Museum of China in Beijing. Here now is Chinese bronze expert, Li Chen. Could you tell us what visitors can expect to see here, Mr Li? Li Chen: Yes, as part of an exchange programme, we’ve brought some of our best bronze relics to put on display. Bronze has an important place in Chinese history. It was used for many purposes, from food containers to important ceremonial items. Some of the relics on display here date back to the Xia and Shang Periods. The beautiful and detailed designs are a reflection of the wisdom and artistic talent of our ancestors. Reporter: That’s incredible. I particularly like the bronze instruments. So, is this an ongoing exchange programme? Li Chen: Yes, the programme began with the British Museum’s exhibition in Beijing in 2015. The aim is to promote cultural exchange between nations. Although there are a lot of bronze relics to see here, it’s a small selection of what the National Museum of China has. We hope this taste
