There are two activities in this part: listening for gist and specific details and listening for the missing words to complete a story. In the second activity students are expected to learn the skill of using a story to illustrate a principle and be clear about the outline of such stories. In the talking part, students are asked to use the expressions and other knowledge learned in the listening activities to tell a story of showing or receiving kindness. The teacher should use the listening activities as scaffolding to prepare the students for the talking activity.
