Give the students a few minutes to look at the pictures in Unit 5 and discuss the following questions: 1. What things do you use to communicate? 2. What electric equipment do you usually use to communicate? 3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of electronic tools? II. Ask the students to listen to the recorder and match the pictures with the words in the box. III. Ask the students some questions: 1. What would you say first when you make a phone call? 2. What would you say first when you answer a phone call? 3. What can you do if the person you want to talk to is not on the phone? IV. Ask the students to listen to a dialogue and answer the questions: Who is Mr. White? What does Mr. White want to order? Whom does Mr. White have to talk with? What would the sale manager do? Presentation of Listening I. Tell the students they are going to listen to a dialogue about phone communication. Teach them how to use the words and expressions in the box: call about, recommend for, modal, feature, make an appointment, see you… II. Ask the students to listen again and finish Exercise 3. III.
