Abstract
TheneedtoaccountforNativecodewithinAndroidappsisbecomingur-
gentastheusageofNativecodeisgrowingwithinbothbenignandmalicious
apps.MalwaredevelopersareincreasinglyusingNativecodetoimplementsome
ofthemaliciousfunctionsofAndroidapplications,whichleadstoalargenum-
berofsecurityissues.Amongthemanysecurityissues,theuseofNativecode
toleaksensitivedataisoneofthemostprominentthreats,sodeterminingthe
behaviorofdataflowinNativecodebecomesacriticalstepinidentifyingsuch
threats.However,Nativecodeisoftenoverlookedinmostanalysistoolsdueto
thecomplexityofNativecodeitself.
WithincreasingconcernaboutNativecodevulnerabilitiesinAndroidappli-
cations,avarietyofNativeanalysistoolshavebeendevelopedinacademiaand
industry,butthesetoolsstillsufferfromseverallimitations.Ontheonehand,ex-
istingNativedynamicanalysistoolsareprimarilybasedontestinputgeneration
toolstoanalyzeAndroidapplicationsandarethereforeunabletolocateNative
codequickly.Ontheotherhand,existingNativestaticanalysistoolsarebased
onsymbolicexecutiontoexploreNativecodeandarethereforelimitedbyissues
suchaspathandstateexplosion.
InordertoeffectivelyanalyzethebehaviorofsensitivedataintheNative
code,wefirstproposedJNFuzz,anefficientblack-boxfuzztestingmoduleforthe
