I Abstract In globalization era, environmental problems become the focus of international society. Environmental diplomacy becomes an absolutely necessarily means for regulating the environmental relationship. As the biggest developing and environmental country, China actively develops environmental diplomacy. From the Human Environment Conference in 1972, Chinese environmental diplomacy has acquired outstanding achievement. In 21st century, it’s significant to promote Chinese environmental diplomacy. It is favorable for settling our environmental dispute, defending our national environmental security, promoting our Environmental Protection Industry, and establishing our Green image. In new period, the changes of international relations will make Chinese environmental diplomacy face new pressure and challenge. China should strengthen the theory study of environmental sphere, on the basis of domestic environmental governance. China should also develop flexible environmental diplomacy to different countries, and promote the establishment of new global environmental governance mechanism. Only in this way, China can really create green image and make contributions to the resolution of global environmental problems.
