In this paper, the applicat i n f a t ime reversal mirr r t the sh rt baseline p siti nin g system was invest igated. The time reversal mirr r technique all wed the ac ust ic signal t better f cu s in an u nkn wn envir nmen t, which effect ively reduced the expansi n f mult i-path ac ustic signals as well as impr v ed the signal f cu sin g. The signal-t -n ise rat i (SNR) f the time reversal perat r greatly increased and c uld be btained b y ens nify ing the water. The t echn ique was less affect ed by th e envir nment an d th eref re m re applicable t a c mplex shall w water envir nmen t.
