T summarizes the main idea and structure of the text (5 mins) POST-READING ACTIVITIES 1. Let the students do the exercises in the textbook which are related to the new words. 2. Ss hand in the summary of the text. 3. Ss discuss the questions on the topic related to the text. 4. Let Ss do the exercises in the text book which are mainly related to the new words and topic. Summary questions and concluding remarks 1) Do you feel happy when you heard the US was attacked? Give reasons for your answer. I felt very happy/sad…….because……….. 2) What do you think is needed in fighting with terrorism? I think it is ….., etc. 3) What do you know about terrorism in China? 4) What attitude should we have towards terrorism? 5. Ss discuss the questions on the topic related to the text. 6. Writing: What attitudes should we have towards terrorism? 板书设计Background information.Key points in the text: 1. words; 2. structures.related words 教后记It didn’t seem too difficult for us to deal with the questions on the text; However, the get the main idea of each paragraph didn’t seem easy; We had to emphasize on the paraphrasing difficult sentences to make the idea clear.
