The separation was performed on C18 column with methyl alcohol-water-HAC (25:75: 0.2) as a mobile phase where the flow rate was 1.0mL/min. The detection wavelength was set at 260 nm.Results A satisfactory separation between protocatechuic acid and impurity was obtained. The calibration curve was linear over the range from 31.1 ~ 93.3μ g , r = 0.9996; The average recovery was 99.49%, and RSD of 1.58% (n = 6). Conclusion The method was accurate and can be used for the detemrmination of constituents for Spatholobus suberectus Dunn.
