Method in α calcium phosphate cement powder modified by adding strontium carbonate to study the coagulation time, compression strength, dissolution rate and pH value changes, using X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy analysis of their hydration products and surface morphology. The results add an appropriate amount of strontium carbonate does not prevent α tricalcium phosphate (αTCP) the hydration process, the coagulation time suitable for clinical operations, compression strength and dissolution rate increases, the hydration reaction was weakly alkaline hydration products for the strontium carbonate with calcium deficiency model based HA. Conclusions appropriate amount of strontium carbonate can improve the α calcium phosphate bone cement system, physical and chemical properties, hydration products and natural bone tissue close to the mineral phase composition, it may be beneficial to implant materials and bone combination.
