Methods 122 patients with NAFLD were divided into non- MS group (n = 53) and MS group (n = 69), 30 healthy subjects undergoing physical examination were enrolled in control group. A radioimmuodetection was used to measure TNF-alpha levels in three groups and compared among three groups. Results 1. TNF-alpha level of MS group was higher than that of non-MS group (P lt;0.05), TNF-a levels of both MS group and non-MS group were higher than that of NS group (P lt;0.05). 2. Patients with NAFLD complicated with more risk factors of MS, plasma TNF-a levels elevated progressively (P lt;0.05). Conclusion TNF-alpha is involved in the genesis and development of NAFLD and MS, and is one of the inflammatory factors that link these two diseases. Keywo
