TwohundredHybro-Gbroilers,ofbothsexes,originatingfromthe sameparentflock,ofstandardizedbodymass,weredivided intofour equalexperimentalgroups.Theexperimentlasted42days.Thecontrol group(C)wasfedstandarddiets.Thebroilersofthefirstandsecond experimentalgroups(O-I andO-II) werefeddietsinwhich50%,and 100%,fishmealhadbeensubstitutedwithhouseflylarvaemeal(HLM). Thethirdexperimentalgroup(O-III)wasfeddietswithoutfishmeal,but supplementedwithnofreshlarvaeinspecialfeeders. ThechemicalanalysisshowedthatdehydratedHLMcontained 59.48%drymatter(DM)protein;whereasfreshlarvae,preparedbya specialtechnologicalmethod,contained59.10%DMprotein;whereas fishmealcontained67.39%DMprotein. Viewed in total, the obtained productive results for the experimentalgroups(O-I,O-II,O-III)wereapproximatelythesameas thoseforthecontrolgroup(C);whereastheresultsobtainedperphase show statistically significant differences, due to the influence of the applied treatments(p0.05;p0.01). The fresh and dehydrated larvae, used as substitutes for fish meal,hadapositiveeffectonproductiveperformanceandhealthstatus of broilers, which provides a good possibility for using them in diets intendedforfeedingbroilers.
