But no phyto- chemicalstudiesofP.pistillarishavebeenreportedtillnow. Inordertogetenoughandreproduciblematerialforphyto- chemicalandbiologicalstudiesweestablishedmycelialcul- turesofP.pistillaris,expectingthatthecultureswillproduce the same metabolites as the fruiting bodies. Here, we report on the antibacterial and cytotoxic activities of extracts and isolated metabolites, the isolation of three antibacterial epicorazines from the culture medium and the possible implicationsonsafety.
